Florence, Massachusetts is a village in the northwest area of the city of Northampton, located in Hampshire County, Massachusetts. The village was named after the famed silk production hub of Florence, Italy as a nod to the prosperous 19th century silk industry of the Massachusetts location. Today, Florence is home to growing families, small businesses and restaurants and a vibrant neighborhood scene.
